Cetric Mululu

Cetric Mululu
Cetric Mululu.

I am Cetric Mululu, originally from Webuye, Kenya, now based in Birmingham, UK. Currently, I am completing my Master's in Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Birmingham, where I have served as a student representative and Green Impact Sustainability Auditor at the Guild of Students under SOS-UK.

I am passionate about enterprise development, with extensive experience in the development sector supporting young entrepreneurs running eco start-ups, primarily social enterprises in the green sector. I have contributed significantly to over ten such projects. Recently, I worked as an Entrepreneurship Development Advisor for the Waste to Work project in Nairobi to transform perceptions and business models of youth working in the informal waste sectors.

My vision is to support these enterprises in becoming sustainable by incorporating the sustainability strategies and frameworks I have learned during my academic journey. I'm excited to share my experiences with green enthusiasts on global green agendas through the The Green Perspective Podcast, where I co-host and drive meaningful conversations, one episode at a time.

Fridah Okomo.

My name is Fridah Okomo, and I’m originally from Nairobi, Kenya. Currently, I’m pursuing a Master’s in Global Development as a Chevening Scholar at the University of Leeds, UK where I also serve as a Student Sustainability Representative.

I am passionate and committed to youth led initiatives and I view myself as an advocate for meaningful youth participation. I champion youth spaces in climate policy, decent work and green skills ensuring young people have a seat at the table and are actively involved in creating and co creating sustainable solutions.

As a climate champion with VSO, I have worked on climate change mitigation, adaptation, and advocacy to build the resilience of vulnerable groups in Kenya. I have also served as a youth champion with Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CYFE) where I have advocated for decent work for young people and meaningful youth participation by amplifying youth voices in the project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, and co led youth centred design sprints and research on Waste to Work, Green Jobs, and Digitally enabled jobs.

I’ve represented young people at various regional and international conferences including The Rewired Conference in Dubai, Africa Climate Week and COP 26. As a Green Skills Facilitator with VSO, I’m honored to co-host “The Green Perspective Podcast” where I will be driving conversations about sustainability.
