Welcome to my profile everyone! My name is Arman Hossain, and I am currently volunteering with VSO in Bangladesh. I couldn’t be more excited to join the VSO Digital Ambassador Programme to truly illustrate the impactful work happening in my country and across the world.
There is a lot to talk about, so make sure you keep checking back to see my updates
About me
Doctor by day, activist by night. If you asked me how I would describe myself, that is what I would tell you.
Giving back to my community has always been a part of my life in one way or another. I first started volunteering in 2011, where I supported students by providing them with the educational materials they needed to complete their studies. Following this, I supported several causes directly and indirectly through multiple organisations
Now, I actively participate in VSO projects that work with schools and community health clinics, aiming to make a tangible difference in the lives of school children and people in need.
My passion for helping others aligns perfectly with VSO Bangladesh's mission to connect volunteers with projects that address real issues in our communities.
As a doctor, my dream is to see Faridpur – the district where I am based – thrive with quality healthcare, clean water. I also want to see mental health services prioritised.
Through the VSO Digital Ambassador Programme, I aim to inspire others and amplify the incredible work VSO is doing to create lasting change.
Ask a question
I’d love to hear any questions that you might have around my work as a doctor or a volunteer. Please do take some time to submit anything you’d like to ask, and I’ll try my best at answering them all!
The ACTIVE programme
The UK government funded ACTIVE programme supports the development of active citizenship across the Global South, so the world’s most marginalised people can lead their own development, claim their rights to better public services, and hold people in power to account.
