This year, we celebrate 20 years of collaboration between VSO and Randstad, a partnership dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty and injustice by creating opportunities for marginalised communities to access decent jobs. Since its inception in June 2004, this partnership has been driven by a shared vision of equity and equal opportunities.
The partnership began with Randstad providing corporate volunteers—its employees—who contributed their expertise to VSO projects. Through volunteering, Randstad staff have had the unique chance to participate in VSO projects, offering their expertise in human resources, business development, private sector engagement, and communication/media. Over time, it evolved into a deeper collaboration, with VSO and Randstad co-creating initiatives that strengthened their ability to support marginalised communities together. These efforts have helped truly transform women's and youth's lives by improving access to the labour market.
To commemorate this milestone, we’ve published a special anniversary magazine filled with inspiring stories from volunteers, highlighting the impact of this partnership on communities and the volunteers themselves.
Discover more about the partnership and its impact by exploring these powerful volunteer stories.
Together, we celebrate 20 years of meaningful change and look forward to a future of continued collaboration with Randstad!
