Many of the women and girls in Mozambique are having their one chance of a better future – their education – taken away from them. For many girls there, education is out of reach. On average, they have less than a year and a half in school.¹

Within Africa, Mozambique is the country most at risk from climate disasters.²Cyclones, tropical storms and floods there are keeping girls out of school. With little or no education, they have no choice but to marry early, become young mothers, and continue to live in poverty.
