Will you help a vulnerable girl like Izna* build a better future?
Girls born into poor families in Nepal face many challenges. Poverty, discrimination, forced marriage and domestic abuse. But for girls with disabilities, like Izna, who is deaf, life is even harder and the risks much greater.
It's not right, but it CAN change.
Donate today to help match a girl like Izna with a VSO expert volunteer for life-changing support. With your help, another girl who was forced out of school can receive the education she urgently needs to build a better future.

Help vulnerable girls like Izna who are missing out on an education
In Nepal, girls from poor families are forced to leave school early without completing their education. For as many as 1.3 million girls**, the next step is marriage. It’s not their choice. Sadly, girls with disabilities like Izna often can’t enrol in school at all due to discrimination and insufficent support to meet their needs.
Izna was born deaf and has lived a deeply isolated life. She was enrolled in a school but was forced to leave because her teachers couldn’t communicate with her. Even though she is bright and eager to learn, she was forced to stay at home, cooking, cleaning and feeding the cattle. With no one to teach her sign language, Izna made up her own signs, but she was unable to communicate with anyone outside her family.
Izna could have continued living in complete isolation, but thanks to supporters like you Izna is now attending VSO volunteer led classes designed to help girls back into education.
Will you help another girl like Izna receive the education she needs to build a better future?
