Would you like to hear first-hand how VSO works to create lasting change through volunteering?
Hear our former volunteers share their experiences, and discuss the impact that VSO's work has on some of the world's most vulnerable and marginalised communities.
About our speakers
Our speakers have all been fundamental to our work in improving people's access to health, education and livelihoods opportunities across Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
Today was fantastic... The children were engaged and wanted to talk about what they had learned at break time, thank you for an excellent presentation!CarolineTeacher at a junior school in Hampshire
From working to increase access to education for girls in Nepal, to helping to improve healthcare in Zambia, our volunteers can share their inspirational stories at school assemblies, community group meetings and careers fairs.
Members of our speaker network include youth volunteers who have spent three months volunteering on the ICS programme alongside other young people, as well as professional volunteers who have spent one year or more volunteering with us.
Topics
Speakers can cover a range of topics - from finding out more about international development and its impact around the world, to discovering what it's really like to become a VSO volunteer.
