Watch the recording from our webinar with CEO Philip Goodwin and Executive Director of Programmes Donne Cameron, where you can hear about VSO’s strategy for 2022-28. Over 350 VSO supporters and volunteers joined this call with registrations from 44 countries.
During the recording you will hear about
- VSO’s core approaches that underpin our global programmes
- VSO’s blended volunteering model, and working with community, national and international volunteers to work towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
- The shift from viewing the primary actors we work with not as passive recipients of aid, but as active agents for change.
We are also excited to announce, a new grant from the UK government; Active citizenship through inclusive volunteering and empowerment (ACTIVE). The ACTIVE programme will support the development of active citizenship across the global south, to empower some of the worlds most marginalised people to lead their own development and claim their rights to better services.
During the webinar, we will explore how the volunteer networks, especially youth are driving community-based actions to improve services for marginalised and vulnerable communities.
We will invite you to take part in a fun quiz to test your knowledge about VSO programmes!
